Description
Applied Technical Services (ATS) is a nationally recognized calibration and metrology, engineering, testing and inspection firm with extensive capabilities in calibration and metrology, metallurgy, materials testing, chemical analysis, non-destructive testing, forensics, engineering and fire and explosion investigations.
ATS is headquartered in Marietta, GA with over 30 branch offices and over 2,000 employees throughout the US. Since 1967 ATS has established an excellent reputation in the aerospace, automotive, chemical, general manufacturing, military, pulp and paper, marine, transportation, construction and utility industries.
The Calibration Business Unit within ATS consists of ATS regional offices along with acquired subsidiaries. ATS CAL specializes in the calibration of precision measurement and test equipment of various types and metrology services. Our Calibration Department is currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic regional director to manage the Northeast Region.
Summary:
The Calibration & Metrology Regional Director - Northeast will be responsible for providing oversight of existing ATS subsidiaries in the Northeast Region.
Responsibilities:
• Drive operational and financial performance of ATS subsidiaries in the Northeast Region
• Build and lead an effective team by attracting, retaining and developing team members through strong leadership, coaching and mentoring
• Responsible for managing P&L’s for multiple subsidiaries and reporting regularly to ATS Executive Team regarding subsidiary performance
• Work with FOC leadership to develop forecasts, budgets, growth plans, etc.
• Work independently and in cooperation with ATS Corporate Rev Gen team to drive revenue growth in the region
• Identify capability and capacity growth in the region and submit capital expenditure proposals to management to facilitate subsidiary growth
• Work with ATS corporate team and subsidiary leaders to identify and maximize synergy opportunities
• Cooperate with the ATS Corporate Development team to identify and evaluate potential companies to join the ATS family of companies
• Lead efforts to integrate regional FOC’s into ATS Corporate
Qualifications
Requirements:
• 15 years of related experience in a commercial technical service industry
• 10 years prior management experience in a commercial technical service industry
• 5 years of P&L responsibility in a commercial technical service industry with 2 years P&L responsibility for multiple sites
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Travel to subsidiary and client sites across the region as well as ATS’ home office in Marietta, GA
• A requirement of this position is access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”). • Bachelor's degree preferred
• Calibration experience preferred; Experience with IndySoft a plus
